Splinting & Casting
Casting and splinting are two options that may be used as part of your hand, wrist or elbow treatment with Dr. Besh. We offer custom splints made by our hand therapist to ensure that your individual splint will work best for you and be easy to take on and off. Our splints are made of a neoprene fabric that allows the skin to breathe while still proving the necessary support.
With most injuries, a splint can be used instead of a cast. This is especially popular with our younger patients find it difficult to be in a plaster cast which completely restricts movement and must be removed with a saw. The splints allow more flexibility and can be adjusted during the healing process.
